Information provided includes advice on drying wet collections and dealing with damage from fire, pests, and mold. This service does not include on-site assistance.
National Heritage Responders (NHR)

NHR responds to the needs of cultural institutions during emergencies and disasters through coordinated efforts with first responders, state agencies, vendors, and the public. Volunteers provide advice and referrals by phone.
Williamstown Art Conservation Center (WACC)

In an emergency, the Center may be reached during weekday working hours (8:30AM to 5:00PM). During off-hours, calls will immediately be referred to a conservator, who will contact the institution and arrange for the most appropriate action. The Documentary Heritage Program (DHP) is a statewide program established by law to ensure the survival of New York’s documentary heritage by providing financial support and guidance to the not-for-profit organizations that hold, collect and make available the state’s historical records.
